Estimating Gestational Age From Maternal-Fetal Heart Rate Coupling Parameters

چکیده
Maternal and fetal heartbeat couplings are evident throughout development. Most of the published work, however, did not consider maternal physiological factors such as Heart Rate Variability (HRV), investigate interrelationships maternal-fetal coupling parameters. The aims this study to whether: 1) (HR) ( $\lambda $ -based) parameters associated with development, 2) gold standard Gestational Age (GA) can be estimated using HR variability various recording lengths. considered Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals from 60 healthy pregnant women no records abnormalities. HRV at Maternal:Fetal ratios were calculated, stepwise regression was utilized create generalized linear models considering lengths recorded (1 5 min) produce a robust estimate age. Cross-validation performances evaluated by mean square root average squared errors (mRMSE) between age values proposed GA identified Crown-Rump Length (CRL). Effect Fetal Behavioral States (FBSes) on different examine highly nonstationary nature signals. We found that strength for specific ratio is constant gestation. Results showed 2:3 2:4 common models. value [2:3] positively correlated GA, while [2:4] had negative correlation. Compared CRL, model resulted in mRMSE 2.67 3.69 weeks recordings 1 min, respectively. However, when FBS considered, both produced lower estimation errors. more reliably multivariate incorporating min ECG

Improvements in fetal heart rate analysis by the removal of maternal-fetal heart rate ambiguities
BACKGROUND Misinterpretation of the maternal heart rate (MHR) as fetal may lead to significant errors in fetal heart rate (FHR) interpretation. In this study we hypothesized that the removal of these MHR-FHR ambiguities would improve FHR analysis during the final hour of labor. METHODS Sixty-one MHR and FHR recordings were simultaneously acquired in the final hour of labor. Removal of MHR-FHR...
متن کاملA New Method to Derive Fetal Heart Rate from Maternal Abdominal Electrocardiogram: Monitoring Fetal Heart Rate during Cesarean Section
BACKGROUND Monitoring of fetal heart rate (FHR) is important during labor since it is a sensitive marker to obtain significant information about fetal condition. To take immediate response during cesarean section (CS), we noninvasively derive FHR from maternal abdominal ECG. METHODS We recruited 17 pregnant women delivered by elective cesarean section, with abdominal ECG obtained before and d...
متن کاملThe Effects of Maternal Opium Abuse on Fetal Heart Rate using Non-Stress Test
Background: Opium is one of the most commonly abused opiates in developing countries including Iran. Considering the importance of maternal health on the newborn, we aimed to assess the effect of opium abuse on fetal heart rate (FHR) characteristics in a sample of pregnant women in Zahedan, Southeast Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional study was done on 100 pregnant women referring to Ali-Ibn-Ab...
متن کاملPrediction of Gestational Age According to Fetal Femur Length
SUMMARY Determination of gestational age have several usages in obstetrics and gynecology. The relation between fetal femur length and gestational age has determined in this research using real time sonography. 1000 iranian pregnant women between 12-40 weeks of gestation with accuratic last menstrual period and with out the history of diabetes lllellitus, hypertension, renal disease and fetal ...
متن کاملDevelopment of fetal movement--fetal heart rate coupling from 20 weeks through term.
This study documents the development of fetal heart rate (FHR) change in response to fetal movement (FM) in healthy fetuses from 20 weeks' gestational age through term. Thirty-one fetuses received 50 min of Doppler-based monitoring at 20, 24, 28, 32, 36 and 38-39 weeks. FHR and FM were continuously digitized. A coupling index was computed as the percentage of FMs associated with increases in FH...
